Social.

I wouldn't say I'm an anti-social person. I love people but I love being alone. That being said this past week has been ridiculous. I saw so many people I never get to see and I was never alone, it was amazing and exhausting. Sara visited, Taylor stayed for four days, I visited Tara every day, I hung out with Kaley and Sara's friends, Pat and I went to Brew together and finally I visited Jack's house. Taylor is getting his own post because he's just too big for one blog entry. Here is a big mish-mash of the most action packed week I've had in a while.

Marie & Katrina.

Today I did some couple shots of my friends Marie & Katrina for my wedding/couples portfolio. I read so much about photographers turning down gay clients and I needed to gay up my book so everyone knows I'm equal opportunity. I need to shoot some boys next. I considered using Taylor but that would make his earlier shoot a little awkward.

For this shoot we headed up to the campus area and shot around the academic buildings and the college shops. I'm so lucky to live so close to so many beautiful locations.

Matt & Cassandra.

I shot my cousin and his fiance this weekend. It's strange how I'm more nervous around someone I've known all my life than I am with a stranger. It all worked out in the end and I got some really great shots. We shot the first batch in Elmwood Park and the second in the Thorndon Park rose garden. Beautiful, beautiful locations, although Elmwood had a little more drug paraphernalia than I'm comfortable with. I can't wait to shoot their wedding this fall.

Birthday, take two.

This weekend I had my birthday party, finally...

I ate a disgusting amount of cake.

Movie Making.

Today I went back to the cement factory and shot a short starring Shaun and Tara. I don't think it'll be much longer than a minute but it was just something I wanted to make. The cement factory is my new favorite place in Syracuse, no competition.

Home Movies.

I bought a video converter so I could put all my home movies on a DVD and it turns out I may never watch them again because they're horrifying. My constant screaming "DUDE!" "GEEK!" "POOCH!" gets tiresome and because the cameraman is 8 the entire video is vomit inducing. We were all kind of adorable though. I also have a video of me lip synching Hair (never seeing the light of day) and a movie I made called Dino Island which is like an hour long and has way too many homo-erotic scenes. I ended up watching all the scenes with my dog Jock. He was the best.

Cement Factory Fashion.

My friend Lauren asked me to shoot some stuff for a magazine she's starting. It's going to be something like GQ but for lesbians. She wants to show people how to dress as nicely as she does, her own words. These are just the test shots and quick location snaps, but oh my god, the abandoned cement factory in Syracuse is ridiculously cool. I can't get over how much I loved it. I'm going back and taking real photos soon.
