Bars.

This weekend I shot some bars for the Village Voice's 24 Hours of Happy Hour article. It was so much fun. It forced me to travel the city all day and I discovered so many bars I'm excited to become a regular of. I also shot some men only clubs on the Upper East Side but that wasn't nearly as fun.

American Psycho.

"There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there."

Bike.

When I was a little girl I would have killed for this motorcycle. It was beautiful and filthy, like it had been driven across the country. Judging by the neighborhood it was parked in it was more than likely owned by some pretentious hipster who never cleans it so it retains it's vintage charm. I don't hate hipsters or anything.

I don't know what I'd do without Jack.

Waste.

I remember seeing people with expensive equipment and think to myself that I could make such better use of that. Now I have a 5D Mark ii and L series lenses and I don't use them at all. They sit in my expensive case waiting for another gig. I used to go everywhere with my little Kodak and although everything I shot was horrible I still loved doing it. I keep forcing myself to go outside and shoot things and I turn into the worlds biggest creep.

I creep on strangers.
