As a photographer my eyes are my livelihood so you'd think I'd be a little hesitant to stare directly into the sun. Nope. The other night Jordan and I, equipped with some cheap welder's glass (that was a few points below the recommended amount mind you) and my crappy zoom lens, set out to view Venus' transit. We were pretty successful, given our limited resources and all, and whether or not we did irreparable damage to our eyes? Only time will tell.
